Home Recovery
This is the most common alternative. It is very helpful to have someone with you, a friend of family member, for at least 24 hours, and for certain procedures, a few days longer. We provide comprehensive post operative recovery instructions, and are available for questions.
Hospital/Hotel Recovery
We have made arrangements with a local hotel and with St. Francis Memorial Hospital for overnight recovery. Depending on the specific surgery you have, Dr. Barnett may recommend overnight care in either the hospital or hotel. This is highly recommended for facelifts and abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and is available for any of our surgeries.
Private Duty Nursing
We often make arrangements for private nursing/attendant care at the hospital or hotel for the night of surgery or for extended periods of time following the first night. We are also able to make arrangements for transportation as well. The nurses and attendants we work with have extensive experience in caring for plastic surgery patients and are wonderful people.
