We have two offices to serve you, in San Francisco and Walnut Creek.

Consultations and all visits are by appointment only.

You may call San Francisco at 415-362-1221 or Walnut Creek at 925-932-8982.  Our phone systems are integrated, so the same staff answers your calls regardless of where you call.

After Hour Messages

If you need to leave a message after normal business hours, we have voice mail capabilities in the office.  Please call our normal phone number, and you will be prompted to leave a voice message for the office.  We review all messages first thing in the morning.

Emergencies

If your emergency is life threatening, please go immediately to your closest hospital emergency room.

Dr. Barnett carries a pager at all times.  When our office is open, our staff can assist you in reaching the doctor.  After hours, please call our office and follow the voice mail prompts to reach our answering service.  They will contact Dr. Barnett and he will return your call.  Please provide a telephone number where you are available at the time of your call (not where you will be in the future).  If your phone is set up to block calls (caller ID) please temporarily remove this so that the doctor can reach you.

If you need a prescription refilled, and the refill cannot wait until regular business hours, please have the phone number of a local pharmacy available to provide to Doctor Barnett when he calls.  Please remember that not all pharmacies have extended service hours, so make sure that the pharmacy you provide is able to fill your prescription.

When Dr. Barnett is out of town, or otherwise unavailable, he will make arrangements for coverage by one of his colleagues.  If this is the case, you will be directed to another physician by the answering service.
